In a dedicated effort to bring accessible legal guidance to the local community, a Free Legal Fair is scheduled to take place on September 15, 2023, in San Juan, New Mexico. Sponsored by the Eleventh Judicial District Pro Bono Committee and the Volunteer Attorney Program, this event aims to provide invaluable legal consultations to individuals seeking assistance with a range of legal matters.
The Free Legal Fair will be hosted at the 11th Judicial District Courthouse, situated at 103 S. Oliver Street, Aztec, NM 87410. Running from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the event offers in-person consultations with experienced attorneys specializing in various areas of law. Bilingual staff and attorneys will be available to ensure that attendees receive comprehensive and supportive guidance.
The Free Legal Fair operates on a first-come, first-serve basis, and applicants will have the opportunity to address their legal concerns directly with skilled attorneys. The event covers an extensive spectrum of legal issues, including divorce, custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, paternity, kindship guardianship, personal injury, landlord/tenant disputes, bankruptcy, creditor/debtor matters, wills/probate, powers of attorney, public benefits, employment matters, unemployment benefits, contracts, and immigration.
