March is Disaster Resilience Awareness Month: NMLA's Disaster Legal Services Program

Navigating legal matters after a disaster can be overwhelming. From FEMA applications to insurance disputes, the aftermath of a disaster can present a myriad of legal challenges. That’s why New Mexico Legal Aid (NMLA) is proud to announce our Disaster Legal Services Program, which will provide critical assistance to 2022 disaster survivors with low incomes in Mora, San Miguel, Colfax, Lincoln, and Valencia Counties.

Free Legal Help for Disaster Survivors

If you’ve been impacted by the 2022 federal disaster declaration for Wildfires, straight-line Winds, Mudflows, and Debris Flow Damage in burn scars, NMLA is here to help. Our services are free to income-qualified survivors, offering disaster-related community outreach, education, advice, and direct representation.
